Your evening begins on the beach of Xpicob, an ecotourism center dedicated to environmental education and conservation. Ocean waters here are home to billions of microscopic, bioluminescent dinoflagellates. After watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico, you'll board your boat and head into the shallow waters in search of marine nightlife. As it gets darker, billions of stars will light the evening sky above, and like a mirror, the waters below will glow blue-green, an effect produced by the marine plankton.

Explore one of the largest slavery memorials in the world, the amazing Memorial ACTe Museum, a must-see for anyone interested in the history of Guadeloupe and the Caribbean. Sitting at the mouth of Pointe-a-Pitre’s bay, the “Caribbean Center for the expressions of the memory of the Slave Trade” was inaugurated on May 10, 2015 by the French President, M. François Hollande. It was designed by the Guadeloupe architectural group Berthelot/Mocka-Célestine (their concept of ’silver roots on a black box’ was selected in 2008 from 27 international proposals).
